The Road is a photography and documentary series by Lexus International, created in collaboration with renowned photographer Jamie Hawkesworth and award-winning editor Alex Moshakis for Beyond by Lexus magazine. The series explores extraordinary stories of craftsmanship and passion, starting with Samuel Maruta and Vincent Mourou of Marou Chocolate in Vietnam, as they navigate the delicate journey of crafting world-renowned dark chocolate from Vietnamese cacao beans. It then travels to the East Coast of the US, where Morgan Collette, founder of Saturdays NYC, reveals the unique surf culture of Rocabeach, breaking stereotypes of sunny, tropical surfing. Finally, the series ventures into the Bavarian Alps to document award-winning wildlife cameraman Rolf Steinmann as he captures the elusive beauty of the Leitzach Valley. Through these stories, The Road showcases Lexus’ commitment to celebrating creativity, exploration, and the art of storytelling.
